Tempesta hand shower updates showering experience

In the age of personalization GROHE design heritage steps up

In the latest episode of our GROHE Design Stories we look at how a GROHE classic has been made even better. What consumers want and need from their bathrooms has been going through a bit of a revolution. So in response the new GROHE Tempesta hand shower has undergone some refinements to fit it to the demand for a more personalised showering experience.

At GROHE we’ve observed how the bathroom as space for personal hygiene and nothing more has receded into history. The big trend in bathroom design is towards creating a personal retreat where we can enjoy “me time” away from the hurly burly of modern life. The accent is on the personal, the customisable and the unique: people want a space that feels like theirs alone, better to let the cares of the day fade out and the time for deep relaxation to begin.

As Leader LIXIL Global Design EMENA Patrick Speck explains in our short film, the new GROHE Tempesta hand shower is such smart design because it cuts to the heart of this growing need in the most simple and direct way. Fitting a new hand shower is relatively modest in terms of investment and commitment – but because Tempesta offers brilliant features and that unmistakable GROHE touch of quality, the transformation it offers is profound.

It’s fascinating to see Patrick Speck set out the process that takes us from remarking changing consumer needs, to imagining the kind of product that might answer that need, to bringing something to market. Not only that, but the resulting product is elegant and tactile, an everyday pleasure to use. In an industrial-commercial setting, this really is smart design. We hope you enjoy the new Tempesta story…
