The GROHE brands global quality promise

The highest level of craftsmanship for exceptional water experience

Part of LIXIL since 2014, GROHE is a leading global brand for complete bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings. Besides technology, design, and sustainability, the fourth brand pillar is quality, which illustrates the brand’s commitment to creating an exceptional product experience all over the world. Standards are extremely high to ensure that every time consumers turn on a GROHE faucet or step into a GROHE shower, they can feel the difference.

Our global manufacturing network

Five global competence centers in Lahr, Hemer, and Porta Westfalica in Germany and in Klaeng/Thailand and Albergaria/Portugal have continuously enhanced GROHE’s premium quality and groundbreaking technological standards for over 85 years. Each site focuses on special products and technologies, and each site’s history is part of the overall success story. Our global network of factories, combined with multi-product and multi-brand production capabilities in various factories, allows us to meet demand anywhere in the world. In this way, we ensure that we manufacture high-quality products to the same standards, no matter where.

Regardless of the product and location, whether it is the elegant Atrio faucet created in Hemer/Germany, the innovative GROHE Blue and Red water systems produced in  Albergaria/Portugal, or the all-time classic Eurosmart faucet in Klang/Thailand - each LIXIL plant that manufactures for the GROHE brand uses the exact same high-precision production engineering to ensure consistently high standards.

Product tests of the highest standard

All our products’ components, ease of operation, and perfect looks have to withstand numerous endurance tests – the toughest in the industry – and pass with flying colors before the products leave our premises.

That is why the central research laboratory has become an important part of the global competence center at the Hemer site. As part of the laboratory extension in 2018, LIXIL also invested in new test stations to expand its existing testing capacities. Product tests take from two to twelve weeks – for components that are built into the wall, testing can even take up to six months. The life cycle of a product can thus be simulated within a few weeks. Observations focus on factors such as age-based degradation of the product, precision of use, product security and quality, comfort of use, and industry norms. All test results of the research laboratory are fed directly into the development process and ensure reliable GROHE technology and innovation that is ‘Made in Germany’.

Our combination of great German engineering, rigorous internal testing, and numerous external certification processes is what gives our customers full confidence in a name they can trust.
