GROHE continues path to sustainable success

Integrating aspirations for high-quality design, consumer enjoyment and sustainable bathroom solutions is not easy. The industry leader GROHE demonstrates how to combine the enjoyment of our most precious resource, water, with affordable and sustainable solutions.
Grohe is looking back on an over 20 year-long journey that has a transformation towards sustainability as its goal. Now GROHE has been elected to be part of the “50 Sustainability & Climate Leaders” – a global sustainability and climate protection initiative that highlights international companies that are pioneers in their respective industries.
They are committed to the United Nations’ goals for a sustainable future, the Sustainable Development Goals, (1) and in doing so inspire others to follow their example. In a short documentary which was part of the initiative GROHE presents milestones from its 20-year commitment to sustainability to illustrate the innovative approaches the brand took to position sustainability at the core of its business activities and to explain why the brand views this transformation as an economic opportunity.
This underlines the pioneering role GROHE plays with its efforts to create sustainable value chains and allow consumers to live sustainably. Sustainable innovation can – and should – be at the core of entrepreneurial action.
That is why the brand was awarded the German Sustainability Award 2021 in two areas at once: in the transformation field “Resources” as well as in the category “Design” for the GROHE Blue water system that offers still, medium and sparkling water directly from the kitchen faucet, thereby enabling a family of four to save 800 plastic bottles a year.
